S.O.P.(Save Our Pug)

Dear Friends,I'd like to introduce you to the fifth member, and official mascot of Secret Suburbia, Yoshi the Pug.A few days ago, TJ (Secret Suburbia's frontman and proud owner of Yoshi) noticed that something wasn't quite right with Yosh. He was subdued, was having trouble on the stairs, and his legs would sometimes tremble. A trip to the vet today revealed that Yoshi has a condition called, 'medial patellar luxation' (his kneecaps are displaced), and he is scheduled for surgery this Monday. As those of you with pets who have ever needed a surgery know, the cost can be ridiculously expensive. In fact, the procedure that Yoshi needs will run approximately $2000.(You can see where I'm going with this now, can't you... Yes, friends... break out the violins...)Needless to say, we are still waiting for Richard Branson to knock on Secret Suburbia's door, and paying for this surgery presents quite the challenge. We would therefore like to appeal for your help, with whatever you are able to contribute to Yoshi's Pug Hug -- a collection we are launching to help pay for Yoshi's surgery.Plans are also underway for a benefit concert... yes... you heard me right, where all funds collected will go to Yoshi's Pug Hug fund.I know, I know... this isn't exactly a concert to free Nelson Mandela... (wait, I'm dating myself...), or to end world hunger -- but Yoshi is an important part of our world, so whatever anyone can do to help would be greatly appreciated. Please send whatever contribution you are able to make to: Yoshi's Pug Hug, 3 Drysdale Crescent, Toronto, ON M2H 1M7.For just pennies a day... wait... wrong ad. For the price of a cup of coffee... albeit a grande half caf macchiato, you could really make a difference! Please also help us spread the word by forwarding this event to all your facebook friends. We'll keep you posted on Yoshi's progress... and yes... watch for updates on Yoshi's Pug Hug Benefit Concert.Thank you!
